Segmental Blocks Sliding & Overturning FS Calculations VS Software Prediction DeepEX - QuayWalls Software
This article provides hand calculations for the sliding and oveturning safety factors for a segmental block walls in a marine environment. The gravity wall example was initially presented by M. Ackhurst in her book "Design of Vertical Gravity Sea and Quay Walls". Figure 1 presents a model in the software with the calculated bearing capacities, sliding and overturning safety factors for each block:
